Chairman of Moscow City Duma Aleksey Shaposhnikov turns out to own 7-room penthouse worth of $1.4 million

According to the 2017 income declaration, Shaposhnikov earned 5.5 million rubles ($83 thousand) in 2017.

Politician Aleksey Navalny’s Anti-Corruption Foundation found out that Chairman of the Moscow City Duma Aleksey Shaposhnikov owns a 7-room penthouse in the center of Moscow. The Foundation posted a report by the Unified State Register of Immovable Property.

Shaposhnikov’s apartment is located on the upper two floors of a block of apartments located on Presnensky district’s 22 Zoologicheskaya street. The penthouse’s area is almost 270 square meters. According to a report by the Unified State Register of Immovable Property, the head of the Moscow City Duma owns this apartment since 2010.

The apartment is worth of 95 million rubles ($1.4 million). Underground garage Shaposhnikov also owns is worth of 1.5 million rubles ($22 thousand). According to the 2017 income declaration, Shaposhnikov earned 5.5 million rubles ($83 thousand) in 2017. He doesn’t have a spouse.

There are no Shaposhnikov’s income declaration related to other years on the web site of the Unified State Register of Immovable Property.

Aleksey Shaposhnikov was elected to the Moscow parliament in 2014. He’s going to stand for another term in 2019.
