Bastrykin instructs to check Moscow Investigative Committee Academy
The Head of the department received many complaints of unlawful refusals of admission.
The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the management of educational work and personnel management of the ICR to check the activities of the Moscow Academy. The decision was made after numerous of the applicants' rights violation of during examinations, the press service of the department reports.
Also, the ICR Head instructed to check the selection procedure for applicants and called for members of the regional public organization Union of Veterans of Investigation to join the work of admissions committees.
Earlier, Bastrykin proposed to amend the legislation, according to which the ICR will receive the right to request information constituting bank secrecy, not only in criminal cases but during pre-investigation checks.
