Yaroslavl oil refinery cheated tax service out of half a billion rubles
In the Yaroslavl region investigating authorities are investigating a criminal case on tax evasion on an especially large scale (item (b), part 2 Art. 199 of the Russian Criminal Code).
The Mendeleev Oil Refinery in Yaroslavl has turned out to be a fraudulent tax evader.
According to investigative bodies, someone from the management of Mendeleev Oil Refinery OJSC in Yaroslavl was entering false information in the tax declaration in the period from 2013 to 2015. As a result, 483 million rubles was paid for excise duties.
In addition, in the period from January 2013 to March 2015, an unidentified person from among the refinery management failed to include products sold in the domestic market in the declaration. As a result, the state treasury fell short of about 50 million rubles of tax payments.
The unidentified persons belonging to the management of the above organization caused over 533-million-ruble damage to the state.
Law enforcement officers are currently investigating the crime and establishing the circumstances under which it was committed.
Lawyers of Oleg Korshunov, who is charged with a large fraud in organizing the production of footwear for prisoners, do not see corpus delicti in his case. The prisoners did get their shoes, and the difference in the cost of footwear made from leather and split leather is about 10%.
UK investigators believe they have identified the suspected perpetrators behind the Novichok nerve agent attack on the Skripals through CCTV and have cross-checked the footage with records of people who entered the country around that time.
