Transneft-Privolga employee tried for $16.7k-fraud in Samara
In the Samara region, an employee of Transneft-Privolga JSC's Economic Security Service is to be tried for swindling.
According to the investigative bodies, employee of the oil company's Economic Security Service had demanded 1 million rubles ($16.7 thousand) from the contractor for concealing information about violations in the performance of the contract.
Experts from the regional FSB office found that the Transneft-Privolga employee in question had had no authority to conceal the existing violations. However, he did receive 1 million rubles for his 'service' from the contracting firm. As a result, he was charged of Swindling on a large scale.
Deputy Prosecutor of the Samara region Aleksey Pavlov confirmed the indictment in this case. All investigation materials have been referred to the Promyshlenny District Court of Samara for further consideration on merits.
