Suppliers of building materials for Vostochniy convicted of stealing 11 million rubles
Representatives of companies artificially inflated materials’ prices for the construction of the cosmodrome.
The Blagoveshchensk City Court found the General Director of LLC StroiSnab-DV Kirentsov and the Chief of LLC Ideal supply department Kudlaeva guilty of swindling. The investigation proved that Kudlaeva and Kirentsov stole 11.6 million rubles, inflating prices to construction materials for the Vostochniy cosmodrome.
In January 2015, Kudlaeva conspired with her friend Kirentsov. She suggested to the General Director of StroiSnab-DV to steal 900 thousand rubles belonging to LLC Ideal. For that end she suggested to inflate the cost of the cable, which StroiSnab-DV had to supply to her company. The Head of the Ideal company, trusting Kudlaeva, signed the bill with inflated prices for the total sum of 13.4 million rubles. After that, the StroiSnab-DV received money. Kirentsov transferred specified earlier 900 thousand rubles to the account of Kudlaeva. In addition, the General Director of StroiSnab-DV embezzled and spent 11.6 million rubles, received on the fulfilment of the concluded contract.
As a result, the court sentenced previously convicted Kirentsov under Embezzlement and Swindling (part 3 of Art. 159 and part 4 of Art. 160 of the Criminal Code) to 7 years in a maximum regime penal colony and the recovery of damages. Kudlaeva was also convicted under article Swindling (part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code) and sentenced to 3.5 years probation.
Zaur Dadaev, who is imprisoned for the murder of politician Boris Nemtsov, may soon be put in stricter conditions of detention. Being sent for any, sometimes contrived violations of the regime in a punitive confinement (SHIZO), Dadaev is being forced to pass a check on the lie detector and give evidence on the Nemtsov case.
The video showing prisoner being tortured by officers of the Yaroslavl correctional camp No. 1 (IK-1), which was published on July 20, caused a public outcry and the initiation of a criminal case by the Investigative Committee. However, a year ago, an ICR officer found no exceeding of official powers in the video, thus justifying the torture.
A large-scale purge of thieves in law, which started shortly after Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s coming to power, continues in Armenia. After receiving threats of arrests, thieves were taken in custody for carrying weapons and drugs.
However, the thief, who is currently dividing the spheres of influence in Ukraine’s Odessa region with Antimoz Kukhilava through his representatives, has been sentenced in absentia. Mindiya Goradze is not in Georgia at the moment.
