Singer Babkina's representatives state that Transparency International's report on conflict of interest is unreasonable
The singer's entourage says that she has nowhere else to work.
Representatives of Moscow City Duma deputy and singer Nadezhda Babkina commented on the investigation published by Transparency International, which authors caught the MP in the conflict of interests.
Accusations are considered unreasonable, and the representatives assure that she does not feel any worries about the appeal of the organization to the Prosecutor's Office.
"It's just stupid. Where can Nadezhda Babkina work? There is no conflict of interest. That's okay that they have addressed to Public Prosecutor. This is their right," the representative of the singer stated.
Nadezhda Babkina does not comment on the situation.
Earlier, The CrimeRussia penned about the investigation of Transparency International, which covers the activity of nine deputies of the Moscow City Duma and the parliament of the Moscow region. Among them, there are not only Nadezhda Babkina but Olympic champion Alexander Legkov, who is the founder of Equipping Center named after Legkov and the deputy chairman of the Moscow Region Youth and Sports Committee at the same time.
The singer, in particular, was convicted of holding a position in the commission of the Moscow City Duma for culture and mass communications and directs the Russian Song folkloric theater. It turns out that Babkina concludes a contract with her theater. According to the organization, Babkina signed three contracts worth almost 7 million rubles.
The Moscow City Duma has already stated that it did not find the conflict of interest.
