Scientologists were involved in theft of funds of state defense order in Lipetsk
The FSB uncovered businessmen-members of the sect.
During the investigative actions held in the case of embezzlement of funds of state defense order in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Lipetsk, the FSB revealed that businessmen-members of the sect are involved in the theft.
The businessmen from Lipetsk turned out to be followers of Scientology.
During the searches at the machine-tool plant, relevant literature was found. At the same time, a number of sources report that the plant manager, Kirill Petrov, has a high status in this religious hierarchy.
It is worth noting that a fact of a family contract was established - his brother and father are also participants. In addition, they attracted the company's employees to join the sectarian church.
The Prosecutor General's Office had earlier accused the Moscow region’s ex-official of exceeding official authority, taking a bribe on an especially large scale, and forgery, and demanded to seize assets worth of 9 billion rubles ($135 million) from him.
