Ilan Shor left the territory of Moldavia despite the travel abroad ban.
Moldavia’s MIA has put a spouse of a Russian pop singer Jasmin - a Moldavian politician and a businessman Ilan Shor - on an international wanted list for a violation of the travel abroad ban, reports the media office of MIA.
Criminal case into financial fraud had been initiated against Shor. The politician is prohibited to leave Moldavia and enter Russia. According to some reports, he is likely to have escaped to Ukraine.
Head of Moldavia’s MIA Andrei Năstase has already addressed Ukrainian colleagues with a request to feed with information on Shor’s possible entry to the country, reports RIA Novosti. The Ministry believe he is likely to have entered Ukraine through Trans-Dniester (the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic).
In 2017, Chișinău court sentenced Shor to 7 years and 6 months of imprisonment for participation in financial fraud. The investigation theory is that he had taken out $700 million of banks, reports Rosbalt.
Ilan Shor is a head of a political party Șor (before 2016 - the Republican Socio-Political Movement Equality). Besides that, he owns a company named Dufremol (Duty-free). In 2011, he married a Russian pop singer Jasmin. They have a daughter, Margarita, who was born in 2012, and a son, Miron, who was born in 2016.
