Rostov-on-Don: policeman took $156,5 thousands from safe he found and fled
Now the law enforcement officer faces charges.
In Rostov-on-Don, an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs has been charged with abuse of authority and forgery. It is reported by the press service of the regional Prosecutor's Office.
The investigation found that the employee was called to check a report on discovery of an ownerless thing - a metal safe. But instead of delivering the safe to the police department, the policeman took the safe with him, opened it and took 10 million rubles ($156,5 thousands) and inheritance documents from it.
It is also noted that after the incident, the policeman made a false report, in which he stated that he had found an empty safe. At the moment, the ex-policeman is on the international wanted list, he was arrested in absentia by the court.
Former Head of the Losino-Petrovsky district of the Moscow region, Oleg Fetyukov, did not enjoy his power in the local administration for a long time. Just a year after his appointment, the long-term deputy of Andrey Vikharev voluntarily resigned. The courageous step did not save Fetyukov from arrest. Immediately after this, a number of media outlets stated that Fetyukov was “set up”– the charges seem too small to his defenders. The enemies attributed to Fetyukov did not achieve too much either. So whom does the ex-head of Losino-Petrovsky “replace” under investigation and how long will the investigators be content with the replacement?
