Rostov lawyer accused of organizing robbery attack on pensioner
The old lady’s relative who had unexpectedly turned up stopped the perpetrators from stealing the money.
In Rostov-on-Don, a lawyer and her husband were accused of organizing a robbery attack (part 3 of Article 33, part 2 of Article 162 CCRF) on an 82-year-old retired woman, the regional ICR’s Investigative Directorate reports. The couple allegedly hired two people and coordinated their actions during the crime via phone. A relative, who decided to visit the elderly woman, prevented them from completing the plan.
According to the investigators, one of the perpetrators (both female) entered the pensioner's apartment under the guise of a journalist and “brought the apartment owner into a helpless state,” after which she began to look for money. At this time, the second performer waited outside to warn her partner in case of unexpected visitors.
The criminal case against the perpetrators is forwarded to the court for consideration on the merits. The lawyer and her husband were taken into custody.
The cadets have been found guilty of an Attempt at Murder by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert and for Mercenary Reasons (part 3 of Art. 30, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code). They do not plead guilty.
