Rostov: ex-legislative deputy and former Russian Agricultural Bank head detained
According to preliminary data, the house of Igor Pyatigorets has been searched.
In Rostov-on-Don, former deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Rostov region and head of the local Russian Agricultural Bank office, Igor Pyatigorets, has been detained. This is reported by Vystrel v Golovu via Telegram. There is also a picture showing the detention being held on the street; several security officers wearing masks and body armor took part in it. According to preliminary data, Pyatigorets’s house has been searched.
The channel reports that he has been detained in the Kardigan cafe. He had 1.5 million rubles ($23,490) on him.
According to TASS, the detention and searches have taken place as part of the criminal case under Swindling. In 2017, five employees of Russian Agricultural Bank were detained for the issuance of loans in the amount of 200 million rubles ($3.13 million).
Pyatigorets headed the branch of Russian Agricultural Bank since 2010. The last time he was elected to the Legislative Assembly was in 2013; he worked in the committees on budget and agrarian policy until 2018.
