Perm region: principal members of United Russia to be interrogated in case into theft from regional budget
Searches and seizure of papers were carried out in July in the Perm region’s branch of the United Russia party. The investigation theory is that one of the political parties of the region caused damage worth of more than 1 million rubles ($15 thousand) to the regional budget.
The criminal investigations directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Perm region are going to interrogate 13 members of the regional parliament - members of the United Russia party, reports Ura.ru with reference to a source familiar with the situation. The members of the party are going to be interrogated in a case into theft from the regional branch of the party.
“It is not necessarily right that they will remain witnesses after the interrogations. It’s just easier for the investigators to work this way: first, they gather all the data; after that, they sharply change the status of a witness to a suspect and detain persons - just like it was with a senior court bailiff of the Kama region Igor Kozhevnikov,” the source of the agency said.
The investigators are going to interrogate Hero of Russia Sergey Yashkin, CEO of Lukoil-Perm Oleg Tretiakov, head of Uralkali Dmitry Osipov, director of Lysva metallurgic plant Viktor Rodionov, director of ODK-Permskiye motory Sergey Popov, manufacturer Vladimir Podkorytov, CEO of Ditrans Viktor Plyusnin, ex-secretary of the Perm branch of the United Russia, ex-director of Iskra Vladimir Shatrov, principal of the Medical University Irina Koryukina, chief engineering officer of SK-Leader Pavel Cherepanov, adviser to the president of Lukoil in the region Vladimir Zhukov, and dean of Perm State University Tatiana Mirolyubova.
Searches and seizure of papers were carried out in July in the Perm region’s branch of the United Russia party. The party’s senior executives stated that it is not connected with its activity.
