MIA’s investigators have amended the charges against the football player, reports Rosbalt with reference to its sources.

Request to vary the professional athlete’s preventive measure has at the same time been made - the source believes that Mamayev is expected to be released from the remand prison on bail.

The charges have been amended at the initiative of the Moscow’s Prosecution Service, the source clarified. The article of the new charges, as well as the reason for amending have not been specified.

CrimeRussia had earlier reported that Pavel Mamayev along with his friend Aleksander Kokorin (a football player, as well) had been arrested on charges of 2 scuffles in the center of Moscow. First, the athletes manhandled a driver of a TV host of Russia’s Channel One at the parking lot. Then, they attacked a Minpromtorg’s official Denis Pak and a Director General of FGUP NAMI Sergey Gaisin.

The athletes made a full confession, repented and offered their apologies to the victims. They are accused of disorderly conduct. 2 criminal cases are opened.
