Owners of VIM Airlines Mursekaevs spouses run away from Russia
The investigation can not contact the businessman – the phones are unavailable.
Owners of VIM Airlines Rasheed Mursekaev and his spouse Svetlana left Russia the day before, RBC reports with reference to a source. According to the interlocutor of the portal, the businessman together with his family took off from Sheremetyevo on Tuesday, September 26.
In his turn, the source of Interfax claims that Mursekaev is currently in Turkey, in Istanbul, to where he took off from Vnukovo.
Earlier, it became known that the co-owner of VIM Airlines does not get in touch with investigators. “We can not contact Mursekaev since the morning, his phones are switched-off”, a source in law enforcement agencies told.
Besides, Mursekaev did not come to the meeting, where Federal Air Transport Agency with other representatives of the aviation industry discussed the situation around VIM Airlines.
“He gave an obligation to make payment today from his own means for current expends for maintenance of operating activities in the amount of 50 million rubles [$866 thousand] The owner of the airline did not come to the meeting, stopped answering the phone calls, the secretariat of the airline also ceased to respond to calls”, representatives of the Federal Air Transport Agency said.
To recall, earlier the Investigative Committee initiated a criminal case over embezzlement of money of passengers of the airline by officials of VIM Airlines. By estimates of law enforcement authorities, the damage is about 1 million rubles ($17 thousand).
