Notary from Nice is now defendant in Senator Kerimov case
The investigation believes that the notary acted as an accomplice, helping the Russian businessman avoid paying taxes.
Notary from Nice Aleksandr Grechishkin-Kurgansky has been detained in France as part of the case of Russian Senator Suleyman Kerimov. He has already been charged with complicity in tax fraud, Le Figaro reports with reference to the notary’s lawyer Gérard Boudoux.
According to the lawyer, his client was released under a written undertaking not to leave the city and a deposit of 100 thousand euros.
In turn, Nice Matin reports that Grechishkin-Kurgansky is considered a ‘star notary’, as he specializes in elite real estate.
As previously reported by the CrimeRussia, Suleyman Kerimov was detained in Nice on charges of tax evasion when purchasing real estate on the French Riviera. After the senator detention, he was released on bail of 40 million euros and a written undertaking not to leave Alpes-Maritimes. The member of the Federation Council was allowed to visit Russia several times.
