New Stream founder Mazurov arrested in case of embezzlement from Sberbank

Moscow’s Tverskoy Court took Dmitry Mazurov, the chairman of the Board of Directors and founder of the New Stream group of companies, into custody until September 12. Mazurov is accused of swindling (part 4 of Article 159 CCRF), Interfax reports. New Stream owned the Antipinsky Oil Refinery in Tyumen and controls the Mariinsky Oil Refinery in Mari El. 

According to the investigators, Mazurov stole the money that Sberbank allocated in 2015 on a loan to the Antipinsky Oil Refinery. Mazurov was detained on July 13 at the Sheremetyevo Airport. The entrepreneur pleads innocent. The criminal case was initiated on the application of the head of Sberbank, German Gref.
