Mostovik's Former Head has not paid taxes for 4 years in prison
Oleg Shishov fully admits guilt, but believes that he acted in interests of the enterprise.
The Omsk court has delivered judgement to the former manager and the owner of the NGO Mostovik Oleg Shishov for tax evasion and swindling on an especially large scale. In both cases, prosecutors asked for Shishov 5.5 years in prison with accounting of 3-year period, which he was sentenced before. In addition, as reported by TASS, the Prosecutor's Office intends to collect unpaid VAT in the amount of 478 million rubles from Shishov.
The Kuibyshev District Court of Omsk sentenced Shishov to 4 years in prison. March 21 this year the Frunzensky court in Vladivostok found him guilty of mediation in the embezzlement of more than 1 billion rubles in the construction of the Primorye Oceanarium. Shishov was sentenced to 3 years in a general regime penal colony and a fine of 300 thousand rubles. In June, the former Head of Mostovik was transferred from Vladivostok to Omsk into the penal colony № 8.
According to investigators, in 2009-2011 Shishov underpaid half a billion rubles in the form of VAT. Into the financial documents of NGO Mostovik and tax returns declarations he made false entry on the fulfillment of work by a number of counterparties organizations, including nominal, construction and installation work on the facilities located on the territory of Vladivostok (including the bridge on the Russian island in preparation for the summit APEC and the Seaside Aquarium), Omsk, Tyumen and Tobolsk, Sochi and Astrakhan, Moscow region and the Trans-Baikal Territory, covering them as a part of tax deductions. In fact, all the work was done by the Mostovik itself.
More than 500 million rubles Shishov stole in the construction of the ring road in Omsk (site Fedorivka - Aleksandrovka).
The former Head of the company explained in his final statement that the blame laid on the financial hole, in which Mostovik was hit by customers. According to him, the construction of the Primorye Oceanarium was almost completed. At the same time the company received only 60% of the order price. During the construction of sports facilities in Sochi, the customer unreasonably underestimated the cost by 25%. And in addition to that, all banks demanded to return the loans in one day.
In this case, Oleg Shishov fully admits guilt, but believes that he acted in interests of the enterprise, which he is going to partially restored after getting out of prison.
Lieutenant General Oleg Troshin announced he is going to retire in May 2018. He is doing it following a decision taken a year ago – not due to non-existent issues with the agency reported by some local media outlets.
A serious and not at all political clash of interests is taking place at the Russian Federation Council. Kamchatka senators Valery Ponomarev and Boris Nevzorov are failing at deciding how to divide the Kamchatka water resources; both men make millions of dollars off of them every year.
