Moscow police turns out to be involved in theft and sale of expensive cars
The damage caused by the members of the organized criminal group was estimated at more than $ 594,000.
Investigators of the ICR’ Investigative Directorate for the Moscow Region completed an investigation into the criminal business, in which members of the ethnic criminal organization, with the help of two state traffic inspectors and four employees of leasing companies, obtained new expensive cars using forged documents, sold them to foreigners and exported them. The investigation estimated the damage at more than 40 million rubles ($ 594,000), by the press service of the ICR’s Main Investigative Directorate for the Moscow Region reported.
The relevant criminal proceedings were initiated based on materials developed by the MIA’s Main Directorate for economic-crimes and Department “K” of the Russian FSB. 18 people will face trial, including the members of the organized criminal group – Arslan Abdullayev, Khizar Chapaev, Salman Ismailov. There are 17 fraud episodes in the criminal case.
Three defendants entered into a pre-trial cooperation agreement with the investigation and have already received prison sentences. Nine people are on the federal wanted list.
