Moscow police detains bank robber on Leningrad Highway
The crime was caught on CCTV cameras, the suspect was taken shortly after the crime was committed.
The Moscow police detained a suspect in a bank robbery on the Leningrad Highway. The man threatened a bank operator with a gun-like item and took 105,000 rubles ($ 1640) from the cash register, after which he disappeared. The police detained the robber “literally in a few minutes,” the MIA spokeswoman Irina Volk said.
The robbery occurred at 4:40 pm on March 22. After the suspect was detained, an investigative team left for the bank. The crime was recorded by the CCTV cameras. The investigation establishes other details of the incident.
