Moscow commission passed application on pardon of ex-Senator Izmestiev
Now the document will be sent to the Presidential Administration for consideration.
The application submitted by former Senator Igor Izmestiev condemned for life for an organization of murders has passed the Federal Penitentiary Service and the commission on a pardon. Member of the council on human rights (HRC) at the President Lyudmila Alexeyeva reported about it.
According to her, the next stage is consideration of the document in the Presidential Administration where all lists on pardon on all regions are being formed.
As the CrimeRussia wrote earlier, Alexeyeva addressed Vladimir Putin with an appeal for a pardon of the Senator who was sentenced to life in December 2010. He and 12 more members of the criminal group were found guilty of commission of especially grave crimes, including murders. Igor Izmestiev has not admitted his guilt.
The cadets have been found guilty of an Attempt at Murder by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert and for Mercenary Reasons (part 3 of Art. 30, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code). They do not plead guilty.
