MIA colonel got 7 years for appropriating contractors’ salaries for 6 years

The MIA colonel has been sentenced to 7 years’ ordinary imprisonment for Swindling on an Especially Large Scale.
Dmitry Shutov has been found guilty of embezzling 21 million rubles ($333,165) from 32 athletes who served under the contract with the Ural Regional Command of the Interior Ministry troops.
He appropriated all the money during the six-year period when he was the chief and head coach of a sports team. He got salaries, bonuses, and other payments intended for athletes. He assured them that they simply were not supposed to get it.
