In Primorye merchants stole 70 million rubles during repair of warship
Owners of the company Slavic Shipyard appropriated the money allocated under the state contract.
Prosecutors of the Pacific Fleet in the Primorsky region revealed large-scale embezzlement of budgetary funds for the repair of military vessel. Managers of the enterprise Slavic Shipyard, who received a government contract to repair the ship, overstated amounts of executed works and their cost. Thus, swindlers appropriated over 70 million rubles.
The Military Prosecutor's Office has not yet reported on oher details of the crime.
Based on examination materials of military prosecutors the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Primorye Territory has opened a criminal case under article Swindling (part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code). In addition, measures are being taken to provide compensation for damage to the state.
Slavic Shipyard (OJSC Slavyansky SRP) is the Russian diversified company in the field of ship repair, shipbuilding, fabrication and assembly of metal structures, mechanical engineering and material handling at the port of Slavyanka (Primorye Region). The main type of activity is repair of ships, including warships.
Billionaires Yuri Milner, Sergei Galitsky and Pavel Durov are on the top the list. The rating also includes two women — Tatyana Bakalchuk, the founder of the Wilberries online store, and Natalia Fileva, the owner of Siberia and Globus airlines.
