ICR arrested 6 bln rubles on Marchukova sisters’ accounts
The suspects in the embezzlement of funds from Nota-Bank, Marchukova sisters, figure in Colonel Zakharchenko’s case.
In the case of Nota-Bank depositors' funds embezzlement there were arrested accounts of top manager Galina Marchukova and her sister Larisa, Interfax reported referring to the press secretary of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow Anastasia Dzyurko.
The representative of the court said that the petition of the investigating authorities on the arrest was satisfied, but the amount of cash was not mentioned.
Meanwhile, the source of RIA Novosti in law enforcement agencies reported on the amount of 65 billion rubles on Marchukovas' accounts. The agency said that the court arrested many different amounts in different currencies.
Marchukovas’ lawyers, arrested on charges of embezzlement in Nota-Bank, has not commented on this information.
Recall that in connection with the Chief Financial Officer of the bank Galina Marchukova and her sister Larisa employees of the GUEBiPK Russian Interior Ministry and the FSB of Russia detained top managers of the bank Erokhin brothers in the summer of 2016. The damage to the bank as a result of financial fraud is about 26 billion rubles. The expertise will establish the exact number. The license of the bank was revoked in November 2015.
Recall that MIA GUEBiPK Acting Head of the Department T Colonel Zakharchenko is the suspected of involvement in the theft from Nota-Bank; he was detained in September on charges under three articles of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. It was reported that he was familiar with Galina Marchukova and warned her about the impending arrest and operational search activities. In addition, financial crime in Nota-Bank is one of the versions of the 8.5 billion rubles, seized from Zakharchenko, origin.
Since early February, there has been a preventive operation of the National Police of Ukraine in cooperation with the border and migration services called ‘Migrant’. Its aim is to identify and expel thieves in law and foreign crime lords out of the country.
