Vladimir Putin held a working meeting with the Head of the Central Bank Elvira Nabiullina. The main topics of discussion were the state of the Russian banking system at present and its development prospects.

Elvira Nabiullina told the Head of state that over last 3 years the banking system of Russia became serve the criminal sphere much less.

During the same period, the number of banks, involved in encashment, reduced 15 times. If the number of them estimated at 150 three years ago, the head of the Central Bank said, at the moment, it is about 10 banks with such activity.

"According to my information, in 2013, transactions with signs of withdrawal of funds abroad were about on 1.7 trillion rubles, in 2014 this figure was reduced to 800 billion rubles, in 2015 - up to 500 billion rubles and in the first half of the year 2016 - up to 110 billion rubles,” - said Nabiullina.

In addition, the Head of the Central Bank noted that the overall condition of the banking sector in Russia is improving, which allows it to increase lending showings to the economy.
