Former Serpukhov District head Shestun faints during interrogation due to hunger strike
The ex-official accused of swindling with the municipal land was carried away on a stretcher.
Former head of the Serpukhov District, the Moscow Regio,n Alexander Shestun fainted during an interrogation on the 69th day of the hunger strike, his wife Yulia reported. The accused was carried away on a stretcher; the doctors did not recommend continuing investigative actions in his respect. The diagnosis indicated hypoglycemia, that is, a reduced concentration of glucose in the blood due to poor nutrition.
It is to be recalled that Shestun is accused of bribery, illegal business activity, and land swindling – municipal land plots were allegedly sold at a very low price. The injured party is the administration of the Serpukhov District. Shestun pleads innocent and calls his criminal prosecution a political order.
