Federal Tax Service launches inspection of M-Finance company allegedly tied to businessman Evgeny Prigozhin

The Federal Tax Service of St.Petersburg has launched inspection of M-Finance company that is, according to the media, tied to a businessman Evgeny Prigozhin and a private military company Wagner, reports Rosbalt. The company does not execute any apparent activities; there’s one person registered in its staff; nevertheless, its income in 2017 was 127 million rubles ($1.9 million).
The inspection has been carried out by the interdistrict tax office #8 registered in St.Petersburg’s Admiralteysky district; M-Finance is registered there, as well.
The company was registered in August, 2015. According to the System of Professional Analysis of Markets and Firms, the company’s principal activities include extraction of precious jewels, quartz and glist. Elena Kochina who had not dealt with business before her work at M-Finance is registered as the company’s CEO and beneficial owner.
Before Kochina, the company was headed by Evgeny Khodotov who was considered the director of a firm Lobaye Invest by French news media L'Obs. This company in its turn is mentioned in documents of the Ministry of Finance and Budget of the Central African Republic. According to these documents, Lobaye Invest has right for exploration for gold, diamonds and other natural resources in the country - at a site with an area of 3712 square meters. Rosbalt notes this is the company journalists Orkhan Jemal, Kirill Radchenko and Aleksander Rastorguev who died in the Central African Republic had shot a movie about.
Africa Intellgence media states Lobaye Invest is a daughter of M-Invest the name of which is consonant with M-Finance. Moreover, with the help of Lobaye Invest Russian movies Going Vertical and Legend № 17 were shown in the Central African Republic, the local media reported.
According to the Security and Communication system web site, the contact details of M-Finance include an e-mail under concord-catering.ru domain name which is registered under a limited liability company under the laws of Russian Federation Concord Catering headed by Evgeny Prigozhin. The same e-mail is indicated in the details of a company Investplus that is tied to Concord Catering through a few persons, notes Rosbalt.
The media office of Concord stated there are no companies tied to Prigozhin in the Central African Republic. Ties between Prigozhin and Lobaye Invest is also being denied by the media office.
It concerns entrepreneur Dmitry Motorin, Boris Usherovich, a co-owner of the Group of Companies 1520, and Novoe Vremya board member, Ivan Stankevich. Motorin is accused of giving a bribe on an especially large scale, and Stankevich and Usherovich are charged with bribe-taking.
