False General of Cossack troops sells positions in police for $4500
The swindler was arrested red-handed.
The Lieutenant-General of Cossack troops, who was previously detained in the suburbs, sold positions in the police for 300 thousand rubles ($4500). The swindler was held at the end of April, and the details of his activities have become known only now.
As the head of the press service of the Moscow region's police headquarters, Tatyana Petrova, told the media, the detainee imitated telephone conversations with the leaders of police departments, during which the issue of citizens' employment was allegedly resolved. The swindler also told his clients about paid office apartments and benefits, as well as a salary of 100 thousand rubles a month.
The fraudster was detained red-handed while receiving money during a joint operation of the FSB and the Interior Ministry in the back room of a shop in Fryazino. A criminal case was launched against him under Swindling article; he faces up to 10 years in prison.
