Service company's ex-CEO jailed for six years ver embezzlement from Ministry of Defence
Anatoly Terekhov did not admit his guilt.
The Koptevsky court of Moscow found former CEO of JSC Repair and Operational Management service company, Anatoly Terekhov, guilty in case of embezzlement of 550 million rubles ($9 million) and sentenced him to six years of imprisonment. It is reported on the website of the Main Military Prosecutor’s Office.
As the court established, the money was allocated to the Russian Ministry of Defense for providing military facilities with thermal energy in the regions - Far North, Siberia and the Far East. However Terekhov have embezzled the allocated money.
The former CEO has not admitted his guilt, insisting that the embezzlement was committed by other persons who are connected to the case as accomplices.
The court has also ordered Terekhov to pay a fine of 900 thousand rubles ($15 thousand) and has deprived him of the right to be engaged in administrative activity for 2,5 years.
