DOSAAF leaders arrested on suspicion of bribery
Two deputy heads of the organization appear in the case of taking kickbacks for the sale of property of the Voluntary Society.
The Basmanny Court of Moscow arrested vice-chairman of Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Navy (DOSAAF) for the development Pyotr Kaserin and deputy head of the DOSAAF property complex Rasul Bitiev. They are suspected of bribery on a large scale (part 8 of Article 204 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation), TASS reports.
The court arrested Kaserin, and Bitiev was placed under house arrest, the court press service states. Defendants are suspected of receiving kickbacks for the sale of movable and immovable property of DOSAAF, Kommersant said. The FSB and the Military Prosecutor’s Office reported violations. The interlocutor of RBC from DOSAAF assured that the organization was checked by the Ministry of Defense and the Accounts Chamber, during which no illegal actions were detected.
Kaserin and Bitiev were working in the organization for about a year. Kaserin had previously headed the construction companies FlashStroy and StroyEngineeringGroup was the deputy director of the contractor of the Defense Ministry - Moselectrotyagstroy. DOSAAF is the organization under the Ministry of Defense.
