Deputy head of Voronezh PMC detained for fraud attempt

The deputy head of the Public Monitoring Committee (PMC) of the Voronezh Region, Sergey Dolmatov, became a defendant in the case, TASS reported citing a source.

According to the investigators, Dolmatov offered to the son of one of the convicts, sentenced to 22 years in a strict regime penal colony, to assist in the release of his father on parole. Dolmatov estimated his services at 600 thousand rubles. In the same month, he received the first part of the reward, 50 thousand rubles ($750). While receiving the next 50 thousand rubles on August 15, he was detained in one of the shopping centers of Voronezh.
The press service of the regional ICR confirmed the detention of one of the heads of the PMC without specifying details.
