Deputy head of Rostov region tax service released from pre-trial detention center
The official is accused of Exceeding Official Powers.
Deputy Head of the Rostov region tax service Irina Aleksandrova has been released from a pre-trial detention center and placed under house arrest. This is reported by TASS referring to the decision of the Leninsky district court.
According to the agency’s sources, Aleksandrova’s preventive measure was mitigated after she made a full confession.
The high-ranking employee of the Federal Tax Service Directorate was arrested on May 24. She became a defendant in the criminal case of Exceeding Official Powers. She faces imprisonment from three to ten years.
According to preliminary data, Aleksandrova’s prosecution is related to value added tax fraud. Until recently, she was held in the FSB pre-trial detention center on Bolshaya Sadovaya Street.
