Criminal case initiated against Dagestani Federal Treasury staff
Employees of the department ignored the margin business.
A new criminal case has been initiated in the Republic of Dagestan. This time, violations are revealed in the regional department of the Federal Treasury. The criminal case is initiated on the fact of staff's negligence.
According to the ICR, Treasury employees did not carry out an inspection of the contracts' register in the period from 2016 to 2017. Thus, they ignored the municipal contract between MSUE Housing Policy Department of the City of Makhachkala and Granit LLC, according to which, the construction company purchased overpriced apartments in Makhachkala for resettlement of emergency housing. This contract was not included in the register, however, despite this, officials still made a write-off of funds from the personal account of the state institution. The damage from the illegal transaction is estimated at 250 million rubles ($4.3m).
Members of the commission reveal illegal fund management for a total of 2.4 billion rubles ($41.3m) in the framework of concluding state and municipal contracts. At the same time, contracts were concluded without law compliance.
Recall, a large-scale special anti-corruption operation continues in Dagestan. At the moment, interim Prime Minister of Dagestan Abdusamad Hamidov, two vice-premiers Shamil Isayev and Rajudin Yusufov, former Minister of Science and Education Shahabas Shahov, as well as Mayor of Makhachkala Musa Musayev and chief architect of the city Magomedrasul Gitinov have already been detained.
In the 2000s, Western Europe had welcomed refugees from Chechnya. In 2018, it has finally realized the criminal potential of dozens of thousands of mountain dwellers who had left their native land because of reprisals and economic disorder. Many of those who had fought against the Russian army in the first and second Chechen wars and their grown-up children skilled in weapons and practicing martial arts have united into street gangs. The CrimeRussia was figuring out why the Germans and Austrians don’t feel themselves comfortable in their countries anymore.
