Court ordered preventive measure in form of a pledge of 13 million rubles for Devlethan Alikhanov
The Supreme Court of Karelia changed the measure of restraint for the former senator.
Investigator application for the extension of the detention of the former Senator and the Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of the Republic of Karelia Devlethan Alikhanov was rejected. The court appointed a new measure of restraint in the form of a pledge of 13 million rubles. However, until the deposit is not paid, the deputy will remain in custody.
Devlethan Alihanov is accused of fraud in the amount of 35 million rubles, and the use of a diplomatic passport after the expiry of his membership in the Federation Council's authority. The Deputy denies all charges.
