Chelyabinsk judges refuse wage bonuses amid scandal around regional court chairperson
Ramziya Lutfulloyeva, according to some sources, drew up overstated bonus payments for herself.
Several judges of the Central District Court of Chelyabinsk want to return their wage bonuses to the accounting department, because they believe their payments were inflated, reports Ura.ru with reference to sources.
According to the publication, the judges are concerned about the situation around the district court chairman Ramziya Lutfulloyeva, suspected of charging excessive bonus payments for herself.
“According to the documents, in 2018, Lutfulloyeva considered several hundred cases, although in reality there were several dozens. For these several hundred, she was given large bonuses, ”says the source.
According to it, bonuses of some judges, on the contrary, were underestimated, while those of others were also too high. Now those who may have overpaid, are ready to return the money in order not to get into a scandal with the chairman, the insider believes.
It is worth noting that investigators have claims to Lutfulloyeva not only about the wage bonuses. Thus, the Council of Judges of the Chelyabinsk region received complaints from her colleagues about other matters, and considered the complaints reasonable.
In addition, Lutfulloyeva's husband and his relatives became defendants in criminal cases. On February 1, a meeting of the qualification board of judges took place, at which the personal issue of Lutfulloyeva was to be considered. The meeting went on all day, but the decision was postponed to February 15.
The Prosecutor General's Office had earlier accused the Moscow region’s ex-official of exceeding official authority, taking a bribe on an especially large scale, and forgery, and demanded to seize assets worth of 9 billion rubles ($135 million) from him.
