CEO of RAO was detained
Prosecutors suppose, that the damage done to the RAO is over 500 million rubles.
According to RBK, the lawyer of the accused - Denis Baluyev reported that Sergey Fedotov was examined in the Department of Internal Affairs of Central District for the whole night on the eve. The CEO of the RAO was detained at 4 am. The lawyer says, that restrictions must be identified by the 28th of June by the Tverskoy District Court of Moscow.
Fedotov is suspected in conducting of large scale fraud (Art. 159 Part. 4 of the Russian Criminal Code).
On Monday, the 27th of June, the General Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Ministry of Internal Affairs officers and Federal Security Service officers cooperated and handled a search in the building of the RAO in the center of Moscow within the framework of the investigation of the criminal case connected with the fraud of more than 500 million rubles. It became clear that the property of the RAO was illegally transferred to belong to some third people.
The information about Sergey Fedotov’s detention was confirmed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
For several days now, the minds of the public in St. Petersburg are occupied with one piece of news – Lieutenant-General Umnov, head of the Main Directorate of the MIA for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, leaves his post and sets off for a promotion to Moscow. Sergey Umnov is allegedly designated for the position of deputy minister of the MIA Vladimir Kolokoltsev. However, on the sidelines of the ministry they expect not a promotion for the Petersburg general, but an honorable resignation with the consequent loss of political weight.
