Bank cashier that stole more than $362.700 detained in Kazan
The Khairullina family was wanted since the end of May and was considered abandoned by Russia.
The family of the cashier of the Rosselkhozbank branch, Louise Khairullina, who stole more than 23 million rubles ($362.700) from the bank, was detained at a rented apartment in Kazan, Russian Interior Ministry spokesman Irina Volk said. By this time, family members have already been put in a federal wanted list.
“As a result of joint operational-search activities, it was established that the suspect was hiding in the city of Kazan. Today she was detained at one of the rented apartments,” the Interior Ministry stated.
Police interrogate detainees and find out if they had time to spend the money.
On May 28, Khairullina took money from the cash register and went home. When the theft was revealed, no one from the Khairullina family was already at home. The woman has two children.
