$1,6m belonging to head of Russian Post unfrozen
Basmanny Court of Moscow confirmed that petition on extension of the arrest of accounts was not received.
Former head of Russian Post Dmitry Strashnov got an access to his accounts where he has more than 95 million rubles ($1,6 million). TASS with reference to a source reports about it.
Representatives of the Basmanny Court of the capital confirmed that they have not received petitions for extension of arrest of the accounts. Former head of the enterprise, now operating officer of EuroChem did not respond to the request of journalists. The Ministry of Telecom recommended the agency to contact the Investigative Committee.
To recall, the attachment was imposed on Strashnov's accounts within a criminal case against director of the department of organizational development of the Ministry of Telecom and Mass Communications of the Russian Federation, Irina Lapteva, who was accused of official powers abuse (Art. 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). As law enforcement authorities believe, Irina Lapteva, acting in favor of Dmitry Strashnov, has abused official powers and has calculated his official salary overestimated by eight times. After the arrest, Strashnov's defence filed an appeal about the judgment, but then recalled it.
Tomsk investigators have filed a case on terrorism support. A woman was detained for transferring about 1 million rubles to a bankcard registered in the name of the ex-wife of an extremist of Kabardino-Balkaria.
