Former head of MiG-RosT has been sentenced to 9.5 years in a colony; former vice president of Tupolev got 8 years.
Ex-CEO of an aviation company MiG-RosT Aleksey Ozerov has been sentenced to 9.5 years in a colony for swindling with real estate. His accomplice and former vice president of Tupolev Egor Noskov got 8 years, reports the media office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The investigation found that the damage from the actions of Ozerov and Noskov was estimated at 800 million rubles ($12.2 million).
“Evidence gathered by the Main directorate for special cases of the Investigative Committee is sufficient to deliver the verdict,” the Committee stated.
The CrimeRussia had earlier reported that the investigation had determined that in early 2000s, Ozerov and Noskov had committed theft of a complex of buildings on Moscow’s Khodynka Field with an area of 22 square meters that had subsequently been resold and for 10 years let out on lease. Senior executive of Roskosmos Vladimir Evdokimov was arrested within the same case. According to the investigation, he committed swindling worth of at least 200 million rubles ($3 million) with real estate of RSK MiG. Evdokimov did not plead guilty.
In March, 2017, the dead body of Evdokimov was found in a cell of a remand prison with 3 knife wounds. The investigation initiated the criminal case into murder.
The cadets have been found guilty of an Attempt at Murder by a Group of Persons by Previous Concert and for Mercenary Reasons (part 3 of Art. 30, part 2 of Art. 105 of the Russian Criminal Code). They do not plead guilty.
