St. Petersburg: drug mule kidnapped by partners and threatened to be killed over debt
The victim’s girlfriend who escaped the criminals reported the crime.
In the historic district of St. Petersburg Vesely Poselok, two men aged 32 and 35 have attacked a young couple returning home from a store. The girl managed to escape; thanks to her, the police detained those suspected of kidnapping the man an hour later, the IC reports. The victim turned out to be a drug mule, who made drug caches for buyers, Nevskie Novosti reports.
According to Fontanka, the mule was kidnapped over a 30-thousand-ruble ($457) debt. According to the victim, he was beaten with a bate and threatened to be killed. Both suspects are residents of Tosno, where law enforcers have found their car and the kidnapped person. One of detainees has more than eight convictions.
25-year-old Svetlana was returning home from a store with Aleksandr when they were attacked by two men; they pushed her into a car telling her not to move. While the men were distracted by Aleksandr, the girl slipped out of the car and ran to the nearest police station. She recognized one of the kidnappers as her old friends Aleksandr and reported the license plate of the kidnappers’ car to the police.
