Russian sailor arrested on yacht with 800 kg of cocaine
Citizens of the Russian Federation, Serbia and Mexico were on board of the boat.
Spanish police detained a sailing yacht Seascape near the Azores with 800 kg of cocaine on board. The ship sailed to Spain without identification signs, but is registered in the United States. The cargo was transported by three sailors: citizens of Russia, Mexico and Serbia, El Mundo reports.
The seizure of the vessel was carried out by the National Police, the Civil Guard and the Tax Service of Spain in cooperation with the Serbian and Portuguese authorities. The boat was delivered to the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The sailors are arrested.
According to preliminary information, Serbian mafia was involved in the drug smuggling.
