Moscow region: drug labs found and smashed
Law enforcement authorities seized more than 870 kg of prohibited substances.
Law enforcement agencies smashed three drug labs in the Istrinsky, Krasnogorsk and Odintsovsky districts of the Moscow region; more than 870 kg of narcotic drugs, 2 million rubles, 13 cars and 18 forged passports were seized. The Prosecutor General’s Office approved the indictment in a criminal case against 21 citizens of Ukraine, the press service of the supervisory authority said.
According to the investigation, in 2015-2016, the defendants illegally produced synthetic drugs in handicraft chemical laboratories and sold them through the KhimProm online store. According to investigators, members of the criminal community were recruited in Ukraine, where they were trained in the transportation of drugs, received money and fake passports.
The case against 21 Ukrainians will be considered by the Moscow Regional Court. Law enforcement agencies continue to search for other members of the criminal community.
