53-year-old man with cocaine worth 4 million rubles detained at Kiev Railway Station in Moscow
Law enforcement officers have arrested a 53-year-old drug pusher with more than 260 grams of cocaine at one of Moscow railway stations.
The bust operation was conducted by joint efforts of the Federal Drug Control Service, the Federal Security Service, and the Moscow police.
According to an official statement by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a previously convicted 53-year-old detainee was known to authorities as an active member of an organized crime group of drug traffickers, who supplied one of the most expensive drugs and sold it in Russia.
The cost of the seized cocaine is estimated at more than 4 million rubles, the law enforcers reported.
The criminal case against the detained provider was instituted under art. 228.1 of the Russian Criminal Code. The suspect is currently awaiting the decision about preventive measures against him.
