Rustam Mamatkulov, nicknamed Almaz, and his son, who wants to follow the footsteps of his father, were detained by the employees of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department near Moscow.
The detention of the ex-kingpin and his son occurred in the Ramenskoye district. Drugs were found at both of them.
According to reports, Mamatkulov Sr. was crowned in the 90s; in the same years he lost his crown. Earlier, he was tried for illegal possession of drugs, as well as extortion.
Billionaire Viktor Vekselberg has repaid loans in the amount of $1 billion taken from the Western banks. Earlier, his Renova Group had received state support from Promsvyazbank. Renova representatives say they have repaid the loan with the company’s own funds.
