Vor Ogonyok busted in Moscow suburbs
Police found drugs on him during a search.
In Balashikha, a town near Moscow, the regional crime unit officers detained Alexander Okunev (Briksman), a thief in law, 56, also known as Ogonyok. The police found a large batch of heroin on him during a search.
If the authorities decide that they have a case, a violation of part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code, (Illegal acquisition, storage, transportation, making or processing of narcotic drugs on a large scale) and his guilt is proven, the vor could face up to 10 years in prison.
Note that the mafia leader had been charged for the same crime back in 2014, when he got 4 years of probation; the term expired in April of this year. Altogether, he has already had 9 convictions, the first one being in the 70s of the last century. Okunev served sentences for theft, hooliganism, robbery, possession of weapons and murder.
His “crowning” took place in the Vladimir Central in 1994 with the participation of thieves like Tsitska, Boyets, Sasha Sever and Edik Asatryan.
The State Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad region is waiting for changes. The new chief from Moscow - General Plugin - plans to upend the St. Petersburg policemen completely. Interior Minister Kolokoltsev approves this idea.
