Thieves in law Guli and Osetrina to start big turf war
Earlier, Guli said that Asatryan does not have the right to decide what to do with the other thieves in law.
The conflict between the two prominent thieves in law, Nadir Salifov (Guli) and Eduard Asatryan (Edik Tbilissky / Osetrina) may escalate into a full-scale clash between their clans. In addition, according to expert in criminal and prison culture, Alexander Sidorov (Fima Zhiganets), whose opinion is cited by URA.RU, "very unexpected" representatives of the underworld who have never acted before, may join the fight for the redistribution of dominance.
The disagreements between the vors arose because of the former thief in law Besik Kvinikhidze (Beso Rustavsky), who attempted to restore his status by establishing the thieves’ order in the Saratov region. Asatryan said that the thieves have taken a lot of issues with him. Salifov, in turn, told his opponent that he had been losing their respect by turning a blind eye on thief in law Nodari Asoyan (Nodar Rustavsky) who openly called him “pork”. Guli made it clear that Asatryan does not have the right to decide what to do with the other thieves in law.
The active fermentation in the thieves' circles began after March 2018, when the “number 1 thief” Zakhary Kalashov (Shakro Molodoy) was sentenced. He got 9 years and 10 months in prison. Oleg Shishkanov (Shishkan), the one chosen as the country’s new “chief thief”, does not show much activity. Especially given the fact that according to the new Russian law, a person occupying a higher position in the criminal hierarchy faces up to 15 years in prison, and the summit organizers face up to 20 years.

At the same time, Shakro Molodoy, who is in quite favorable conditions in one of Krasnodar colonies, is able to control the situation himself. According to Sidorov, “Shakro will not give up his power. He is still the leader, it’s just more complicated now. "
Mikhail Orsky, the author of the novel The Confession of a Russian Gangster, who took part in the 1990s’ “movement”, declined to comment on the conflict between Guli and Osetrina, but noted that he knows the latter as a “harsh and fair urka”.
At the moment, there are several strong clans, claiming the dominant role. In addition to Shakro Molodoy himself, they are of course, Guli, Osetrina and Tariel Oniani (Taro). The result was the 2013 murder of the criminal "patriarch". Taro is now awaiting expulsion to Spain in an Orenburg detention facility after almost 10 years in prison.
At that, Guli, according to observers, is one of the richest thieves in law there is. He managed to become a dollar billionaire by controlling vegetable market workers in almost all the post-Soviet countries. Meanwhile according to various estimates, the size of the Russian common fund of the thieves might be as much as hundreds of millions of dollars. One is left to wonder as to what exactly the thieves are dealing with. According to experts, it may be a banking business, a large industry or trade.

Nevertheless, the redistribution of influence in any sphere could lead to an "open war" and victims, Fima Zhiganets suggested. He noted that “in that world, they resolve issues peacefully as long as they can, so as not to leave anything hang. And then, well ... "
At the same time, according to Sidorov, the recent amendments to Art. 210 of the Criminal Code (“Organization of the criminal community”), which were supposed to make the thieves unable to run their businesses, if anything, seemed to have made the structure of the criminal world more complicated. New figures emerge and they can fight for power aggressively, while thieves in law outside of Russia will not be able to properly resist them. Sidorov concluded that they would fight for a place under the sun, and that might be “worse than our everyday Shakro Molodoy, Asatryan or Oniani”.
