Thief in law wanted by Interpol gets detained in Ukraine

Ukrainian security officials do not disclose his name.

In Ukraine, siloviki have detained the thief in law who was wanted by Interpol at the request of Spain. Kyiv region police, who have posted the information about catching the thief on their page on Facebook, do not disclose his name.

“During the investigative measures to identify persons illegally staying on the territory of Ukraine, a 48-year-old citizen of the Russian Federation was identified and detained,” says the message of Kyiv police. The man is suspected of organizing a criminal group, swindling, falsification of documents, and illegal actions against the Treasury in Spain.

At the same time, Lenta’s source in Russian law enforcement bodies noted that in May, Ukraine did not notify law enforcement agencies of the Russian Federation about the detention of crime lords. The last such message was in April. Back then, it concerned the detention of Yaponchik’s confidant, thief in law Batyr Bukharsky.
