Thief in law Shishkan detained in case of murder of deputy and her family
Oleg Shishkanov

The detention is related to the investigation into the abduction and murder of Tatyana Sidorova, a deputy of the Ramenskoye District Legislature, and three members of her family, which occurred back in 2012.

Last night, the FSB of Russia, detained thief in law Oleg Shishkanov (Shishkan) in his home in the village of Popovka, Ramensky District, Moscow Region.

According to some reports, the 54-year-old man was detained as part of a criminal investigation into the abduction and murder of Tatyana Sidorova, a deputy of the Ramenskoye District Legislature, and three members of her family, which occurred on the night of February 20-21, 2012. The woman had a conflict with the mafia boss after long years of a joint business and now he is believed to be the paymaster of her murder.

Sidorova went missing under mysterious circumstances, along with three members of her family. Blood was found in her house; there were traces of body dragging, but the bodies were never found. In 2015, after a failed special operation to detain Shishkan, an arrest warrant was allegedly issued for him, after which he is believed to have been hiding abroad. However, it later turned out that the crime boss was not hiding from anyone and still lived in his house near Moscow.

Shishkan is one of the most notorious and authoritative crime lords of the Slavic wing. Last August, he was elected the No. 1 thief in law, thus replacing Zakhary Kalashov (Shakro Molodoy), who had been jailed for more than 10 years. Shishkanov served his only prison time so far, 10 years for premeditated murder, back in the 80s. He was vetted in 1992. If his guilt is proved now, then he could face life imprisonment for the totality of the crimes committed, including the updated “anti-thief” article.
