“They poured vodka and overturned dishes.” Eyewitnesses tell details of law enforcers’ operation at funeral reception of ‘overseer’

The day before, around 30 persons were detained in a Yekaterinburg-based cafe Comfort.

Officers of the Organized Crime Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Special Police Force have caused mayhem in a Yekaterinburg-based cafe Comfort where the day before, representatives of the criminal world got together to honour the memory of an overseer of Sverdlovsk region’s East Vagif Gulakhmed Ogly Sultanov (aka Vagif Kamyshlovsky) who had died following long sickness. Eyewitnesses of the operation tell Tochka News about it.

“We got together to honour the memory of Vagif. Men wearing helmets rushed into the cafe, pulled everyone to the floor and caused mayhem. They just poured vodka on the men and overturned dishes on the table. After that, everyone was placed in a vehicle and taken to Yasnaya for interrogation. There were representatives of the Organized Crime Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Federal Security Service. They were looking for prohibited articles: drugs, weapon. But nothing was found. This kind of preventive action!” Source of Tochka News says.

The funeral of Vagif Kamyshlovsky was held on June 5 in Yekaterinburg. The ‘authority’ had been suffering from long sickness and had almost hung up his axe in the recent times. ‘Authorities’ from all over the Sverdlovsk region, as well as from neighboring regions, have come at the funeral. The law enforcers arrived at the place at about 8 pm. Police detained about 30 persons, reports 66.ru.

Vagif Kamyshlovsky had been called a representative of a ‘thief in law’ Guli (Nadir Salifov). A few media reported the turf war had been expected in Sverdlovsk region after his death. New overseer was expected to be appointed in the region. So-called ‘Varyags’ from Tymen region Andrey Vorotnikov (aka Vorotnik), Agayar Agaev, Giya Sverdlovsky (aka Giya Akoev), and Lotu Guli (Nadir Salifov) were reported to have been the candidates.
