Special forces unit Grom arrests Shurik Zakhar near Moscow
The thief in law is involved in two criminal cases.
Details about the searches in the house of thief in law Alexander Zakharov (Shurik Zakhar) have been reported. The MIA Inquiry Department in the Chekhov district initiated another criminal case against him, this time under Art. 222 of the Criminal Code (Illegal Acquisition, Transfer, Sale, Storage, Transportation, or Bearing of Firearms, Its Basic Parts, Ammunition, Explosives, and Explosive Devices).
About a week ago, the MIA Criminal Unit in the Moscow region backed by the Grom special forces unit raided the thief’s house in the village of Repnikovo, the Chekhov district. Zakharov, 65, turned out to have a converted traumatic gun and 10g of marijuana. A criminal case was opened against Zakharov under Art. 228 of the Criminal Code (Illegal Acquisition, Storage, Transportation, Making or Processing of Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substances or Analogues Thereof). The weapon was seized and examined.
The suspect was sentenced to a written undertaking not to leave the place, the press service of the MIA reported.
Shurik Zakhar has been keeping a low profile for the recent years. However, the police once came to his birthday party, on December 1, 2015. There were some conversations that night, but none of the thieves in law was detained.

According to investigators, in May 2011, Vorotnikov ripped off several sock caps from uniformed policemen, threw them on to the roadway and stroked over the police officer's head twice during an unsanctioned rally.
