Siloviki detained mob Aiko Astrakhansky with weapons
Armenia raids mobs again.
34-year-old mob Hayk Sargsyan, better known as Aiko Astrakhansky, was detained in Armenia with weapons. It is understood that the detention was carried out by officers of the General Directorate of the Police for the Fight against Organized Crime.
The thief in law was on the hook of security officials and detained near the Dalma Garden Mall shopping center. During a personal search, a gun was found; it had already been sent for examination. Aiko Astrakhansky was detained.
Recall that at the end of June 2018, the Armenian police conducted searches in the apartments of thieves in law and criminal authorities. The raids took place across the country.
It is known that Samvel Harutyunyan (Samvelik), Zhirayr Brutyan (Giro Shaumyansky), Suren Avetisyan (Suro Leninakansky), Artem Gazaryan (Artemik Leninakansky), Armen Manukyan (Sevo), Gevork Melikyan (Gevorik Oshakansky), Norayr Piloyan (Koncho), Suren Avetisyan (Surik Leninakansky), as well as recently detained Samvel Harutyunyan (Maneti Tha Samo), Rafael Khoetsyan (Afo) - the son of another thief in law Rafik Hoetsyan (Khoy) and others faced raids.
At the same time, some “authorities” in whose houses weapons, ammunition, and drugs were found, were taken to police stations. All items and substances found during the special operation were sent for examination.
Searches at mobs began immediately after the non-violent change of power when Nikol Pashinyan became the Prime Minister.
Law enforcement officers conducted preventive conversations with dozens of mobs, prevented a gathering, which was to be held in one of Yerevan hotels. The grandson of Aslan Usoyan (Ded Hasan) Heraclius was forced to leave the country.
Several new criminal cases against corrupt officials have been instituted in Dagestan. The high-ranked suspects include Abdulmedzhid Suleimanov, ex-Mayor of Izberbash; Amir Magomedov, ex-Head of the Izberbash Administration; Magomed Dzhelilov, Head of the Derbent District; and El’dar Karagishiev, Head of the Babayurt District. In the past, all of them were suspected of similar crimes – but somehow managed to get off the hook. The new arrests occur amid the anti-corruption campaign in the republican law enforcement structures. What are the true reasons behind the new wave of the personnel purge? Can the anti-corruption slogans conceal a fierce battle waged by local clans for redistribution of assets with the purpose to create a new ‘untouchable’ elite in Dagestan?
